Project template for Claude Code
Starter repository for new projects developed with Claude Code.
It contains the development rules (.NET + Angular stack, git flow, security, Docker) already organized in the format that Claude Code loads on its own, plus a CLAUDE.md to fill in for the project.
The rules are written in Italian; code, identifiers and commit messages derived from them are in English.
Documentation
| Document | Content |
|---|---|
| How to use, in detail | Which case applies to you (new project, existing project without rules, existing project with rules), the template as a separate folder, copia-regole.bat, which modules to keep for each project type |
kit plugin | Twelve personal hooks (blocks, warnings and reminders on commands, secrets, forbidden patterns, plan, updated rules): installation, updates, migration |
| What it contains | Repository structure, rule modules, the _template/ folder and the plugin |
| How it works | Loading of the rules, exceptions, what Claude asks and what it does on its own |
| Maintenance | Periodic checks, troubleshooting, open points, updating the template |
How to use, in short
The rules are not "installed": they are copied into the project, and Claude Code reads them on its own.
Two things are always needed, which Claude prepares for you if you ask:
- the folder
.claude/rules/with the chosen modules (at leastcore.mdandgit.md); - a
CLAUDE.mdin the project root, filled in with the choices for that project (database, architecture, etc.).
You only need to open Claude Code in the project folder and type one sentence (listed below).
Claude asks you questions one at a time, writes the plan in PIANO.md (for substantial work, not for small changes) and proceeds one step at a time, with your approval at each step. It notes the problems it finds in CHECKLIST.md, without stopping the work.
Type the sentences exactly as written, in Italian: the procedure that Claude follows is written in Italian.
| Situation | What to write to Claude |
|---|---|
| New project | "Avvia un nuovo progetto" |
| Existing project, all rules | "Applica le regole in <percorso del template> a questo progetto esistente" |
Existing project, after copying the rules with copia-regole.bat (option 1) | "Applica le regole di questo progetto" (without a path) |
| Existing project, only branches and commits | "Integra solo le regole Git in questo progetto, con le regole in <percorso del template>" |
| Adding a module later | "Aggiungi il modulo <nome>" or the copia-regole.bat script (option 1) |
| Aligning the project with the updated template | "Riallinea le regole" or the copia-regole.bat script (option 2) |
To copy the files without Claude (Windows) and for special cases, see How to use, in detail.
Claude never runs git init, and runs push, PR, tag or releases only if the project has approved them (a line in CLAUDE.md, see GitHub integration); otherwise it only makes local commits, and only after confirming the branch and the message with you. The kit plugin turns many of these prohibitions (commands, secrets, forbidden patterns) and the single-question rule into technical checks; practices that need judgement arrive as warnings.
